At an earner meeting Mr. Warner suggested the library consider putting up a prefabricated building in back of the library for storage, and most members rejected this idea. This time most members were open to the idea but concerned about appearance and cost. Mr. Warner estimated it would cost between $10,000 and $12,000 for a 24 by 30 foot building.
The board agreed to reevaluate the situation after the Fourth of July book sale.
The board also instructed Mrs. Lynch to do preliminary work on a five-year plan to include building including storage, finance and services. Mrs. Lynch said she wanted to survey patrons as part of the process. .i
As members were meeting work was begun to upgrade telephone lines in the building. Mr. Warner had arranged for the work to be done with board approval. “It’s going to be a nice sophisticated system,” he said.
