The Washington Baptist Church will hold their annual Spring event and silent auction from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 22 on the church lawn.
The silent auction will be on display from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. with items being sold at 2 p.m. to the highest bidder. Articles for the silent auction are donated by local businesses in and around the county. We will also have hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, cole slaw and country ham, biscuits for the lunch crowd plus bake sale.
Grandma’s Attic is where you get your bargains from items donated by local residents. Items can be left at the church or call 675-3608 and they will be picked up.
The annual plant sale is taking pre-orders, if you have a certain plant or flower that you would like this way you can be sure to get what you want. To place an order call Deborah Flinchum at 937-3068 or leave a message on the machine at church, 6753336.
Also at tlye church from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. there will be a blood pressure screening set up so stop by, grab a sandwich, place a bid buy a plant, get a bargain and have your blood pressure checked. We hope to have a list of some items next week that we have for the silent auction. So mark this date on your calendar for a day of fun and joy.
