Workshop Scheduled
A free and fun workshop will be presented by a parent-professional team, certified by the Parent Educational Advocacy Training center (PEATC). The workshop will be held at the Holiday Inn, Business Route 29, Culpeper from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 22. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
Early registration is required due to the course structure and free materials provided. To register or request special accommodations call Barbara Willard, 937-2155. Registration deadline is April 18. The workshop is sponsored by Rappahannock-Rapidan Early Intervention Interagency Coordinating Council.
Dinner Honoring Andy Guest
The third annual Friends of Scouting dinner will be held at the Shenandoah Valley Country club in Front Royal at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, April 17. The dinner will honor Raymond “Andy” Guest. For more information call Bill Sharp at 937-5000.
Gardening Series To Begin
The Fauquier County Extension Office and the Fauquier County Master Gardeners will present their spring Green Thumb Gardening series in April. Topics will include Beginning Vegetable Gardening on April 19, and Living with Pests, A Review of Common Yard and Garden Insects and Control Methods on April 26. The programs are free to the public and will be held in the Fauquier Extension Office at 24 Pelham Street, Warrenton. Programs start at 7 p.m. Registration by phone is required at 347-8650.
April Walk-in Clinics
The Rappahannock Health Department will have its April walk-in clinics from 1-3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12 and from 8:30-11 a.m. on Monday, April 17. For more information call 675-3516.
