Rappahannock Elomantary School Sewage Treatment

Plant

The State Water Control Board (hereinafter referred to as the “Board*) proposes to take an enforcement action against the Rappahannock County School Board (hereinafter referred to as the “Owner") , with respect to the Rappahannock County Elementary School sewage treatment plant (hereinafter referred to as the "Plant”). The enforcement action to be taken is a special order (hereinafter referred to as the “Order*). The Owner has agreed to the Order.

The Order requires that the Owner upgrade the Plant in order to address violations of VPDES Permit No. VA0022471. The Order also provides interim effluent limitations during the period that THE Rant is being upgraded. On behalf of the Board, the Department of Environmental Quality will receive, for thirty (30) days from the date of publication of this notice, written comments relating to the Order Comments should be addressed to Kathleen O’Connell, Office of Enforcement and Compliance Auditing, Department of Environmental Quality, P.O. Box 10009, Richmond, Virginia 23240-0009, and should refer to the Order.

The Order may be examined at the Office of Enforcement and Compliance Auditing, located at 629 East Main St., Richmond Virginia or at the Department's Woodbridge Regional Office, located at 1549 Old Bndge Road, Suite 108, Woodbridge, Virginia, 22192. A copy of the Order may be obtained in person, or by mail, from either of the aforementioned offices.
