The Culpeper Minute Men Chapter, NSDAR, met on Sunday, March 12 at the Precious Blood Catholic Church in Culpeper for the annual Awards Tea.
Honored were six area student from Culpeper, Madison and Rappahannock Counties and an Outstanding American History Teacher. Three students were the winner of the DAR Good Citizenship Awards, a yearly national contest sponsored by the DAR for high school seniors.
1 he other three were American History Essay Contest winners, also a yearly national contest sponsored by the DAR, for the 5th, 6th and 7th grades during February, American History Month.
The Regent, Mrs. Thomas Eastham welcomed DAR members, students and their families, and guests to the afternoon ceremony.
Chairman of the God Citizens Committee, Mrs. Irvin Kilby, presented the Good Citizen Awards to one senior from each of the three county high schools. For this, both faculty and senior students considering the
