As sure as the bluebird makes his yearly renaissance to his wooden house on the fencepost in the meadow', so too do racing thoroughbreds return to the picturesque Ben Venue Farm for the April 8 Old Dominion Hounds Point-to-Poirit Races.
An important fixture on the Virginia spring steeplechasing circuit, the Old Dominion event marks the exact mid-point of the racing season. Series divisions, including the ownerrider hurdles, ladies’ timber, foxhunter’s timber and owner-rider timber, have been hot competition all year, and each will renew with Saturday’s point-to-point action.
A total of eight races are carded.
