Ella G. Embrey
Ella Gertrude Embrey, 86, of Culpeper died on Monday, April 17 at . Culpeper Health Care Center. *
She was a member of Mount Holly Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Ella May Day of Sumerduck and Anna E. Zinn of Culpeper and one son, Robert J. Embrey of Amissville.
She is also survived by four sisters, Ruth Hughes of Woodbridge, Abbie Tharpe of Manassas, Katherine Owens of Ocean City, Md. and Annie Carland of Hendersville, N.C. and two special friends, Violet Wood and Stella Bragg.
Additional survivors include 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Mrs. Embrey was preceded in death by her husband, Willian T. Embrey; one son, William Keith Embrey, Sr.; two sisters, Minnie Jacklin, Mary Kuntz; two brothers, Mort Colvin, Jr. Edward Colvin; one grandson and one great-grandson.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, April 20 at Found & Sons Chapel with the Rev. Sandy Martin officiating.
Interment followed in the Remington Cemetery.
