Charles Kuser
Charles Edward Kuser, 62, of Front Royal, died Saturday, April 22 at his home.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at the Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal by the Rev. Mitch Emswiler.
Burial was in Howellsville Cemetery at Howellsville.
Mr. Kuser was bom Oct. 3, 1932, in Fauquier County, son of Nellie Wright Kuser of Front Royal and the late Hubert L. Kuser.
He retired after 37 years as superintendent with the Virginia Department of Highways and was a member of the Methodist Church.
Surviving with his mother are his wife, Genevieve Strother Kuser; a son, Donnie Lee Kuser of Front Royal; four brothers, Warren Kuser of Amissville, Robert Kuser of Front Royal, Allen Kuser of Linden and James F. Kuser of Manassas; three sisters, Pauline Pounds of Front Royal, Betty Mitchell of Uniontown, Pa. and Joan Lamb of Oroda and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Sammy Pearson, Randolph Leach, Tommy Murphy, Lindberg Kirby, Carl Lane and Jimmy Williams.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Howellsville United Methodist Church Cemetery Funds, 1480 John Marshall Highway, Front Royal, Va. 22630.
Virginia Payne „
Virginia Kerns Payne, 74, of Culpeper, died on Saturday, April 22 at University of Virginia Medical Center.
Mrs. Payne was bom Jan. 4, 1921, in Rappahannock County to the late James Henry and Mary E. Hitt Kendall.
Mrs. Payne is survived by her husband of nine years, John R. Payne; two sons, Ben Kerns of Shelbyville, Indiana and Steve Kerns of Dayton, Ohio and one stepson, John Richard Payne of Culpeper.
Additional survivors include two brothers, Russell Kendall of Northern Virginia and Herman Richard Kendall of Warrenton and one sister, Mary Elizabeth Kendall of Northern Virginia.
