The feeling here is that given GOP intra-part){ squabbling and voter second thoughts about t&e necessity of cutting government too deeply,-die Republicans have an uphill climb to avoid lame duck status for the Governor. But the best weapoi) they have is Allen himself, a charismatic figure oh the stump who should never be underestimated. '
