Baltimore said in a recent interview. He recalled that the local newspapers called him the “Manassas Park folk hero” and compared him to Keith Jennings, who was then playing for Culpeper High School and is now an NBA player.
Mr. Baltimore was the first (and the only, to date) all-state basketball player from Manassas Park. He was also an all-state football player. He was the all-time leading scorer at Manassas Park, with 1663 career points. When Mr. Baltimore graduated in 1987, Manassas Park retired his basketball jersey.
Mr. Baltimore, 27, came to Rappahannock at the beginning of this year to be a gym teacher and the varsity basketball coach.
