Purpose: To introduce this project to local citizens and interested parties. Improvements to transportation facilities within the corridor will be developed to meet future travel demands. The Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficeincy Act of 1991 (ISTEA), identified U. S. 29 as, a high priority transportation corridor. This study is a major undertaking that will help plan for the future transportation facilities, including rail, air and automobile travel for peopole and freight. Open Forum: There will be no formal presentation, however you will be afforded the opportunity to make both oral and written commentsfor the official record. There will be a continual audio/visual presentation shown which will explain the proposed project. Written Statements: Written statements and,other exhibits relative to the proposed project may also be submitted to the Department at any time within 10 days after the hearing.
