The Dixie Power Trio is fast becoming one of Bluemont’s most popular groups.
On Saturday, Aug. 5, this unique up-tempo band will perform a wealth of musical styles at the 1995 Bluemont Summer Concert Series in downtown historic Warrenton. It is the eighth of 11 Saturday evening performances on the lawn of the old Warren Green sponsored by Bluemont Concert Series; with special support this evening from Drunagel, Johnson, Rutherford and Wilkins. Admission is $3 per person. All are welcome.
The Dixie Power Trio is a quartet, bringing together four remarkable musicians on a variety of instruments, including trumpet, banjo, tuba and drums. The sound starts out from a solid base of oldtime New Orleans jazz and quickly breaks into an infectious blend of a big band, Zydeco, and rock and roll.

Plan to bring a lawn chair or a blanket; homemade refreshments will be available* during the evening prepared by the Warrenton/Fauquier Jaycees as their own fundraiser. In case of bad weather, the concert will be held at the Warren Junior High School auditorium.
