Rappahannock County’s Child Care and I.earning Center “is a model for the quality day care that Virginia’s children deserve," said Sue Scheer.
The Democratic candidate for the 31st District House of Delegates seat visited the non-profit center last week.
“The rooms are bright, open and cheery, and the children are so happy,” said Mrs. Scheer, after her two-hour tour with CCLC director Rose Ann Sharp. “There’s so much for them to learn, and the atmosphere is so conducive to learning.”
Mrs. Scheer said she was equally impressed by the public-private partnership at work at the 18-year-old center. While CCLC is primarily supported through fees paid by parents, a significant portion of its budget comes from foundation, state and private donations.
