Library's
Book Sale
A Success
By PATTY HOLMES
Rappahannock News Contributing Writer
The annual Fourth of July Friends of the Library Book Sale was a great success. The sale, held in the Town Hall this year, raised over $2,700.
The Friends of the Library organized the sale and with the help of many volunteers moved the books from the library to the Town Hall. Volunteers also worked on the Fourth as sales clerks and for two days cleaning the Town Hall.
Without the volunteers the sale would not have been possible.
Books for the sale were donated to the library. All donated books are considered for addition to the library collection, and if not added are plated in the book sale. The library' has been able to add dozens of books this way. Titles from best sellers like “Rainmaker” to classics such as “The Works of Euripides” have been added to the collection.
