In a discussion with Vice-Principal Mike Tupper after the banquet, it became clear that RCHS’s athletic program would not exist without community members making it possible.
The softball team’s batting cage was bought by the coach himself, Carl Payne.
The baseball team’s playing field was made playable by the donated labor and machinery of Jeff and Charlie Jenkins.
Mr. Tupper said he felt deep gratitude to the people who have already given so much of themselves to make RCHS’s athletics possible.
“We’re starting three new junior varsity teams next year. We will need all the help from the community that we can get this summer and next year.”
