Surviving by his wife, Colleen Foster of Chester Gap for 56 years are one son, James E. Foster of Gaithersburg, Md., eight daughters, Mildred Riley of Winchester, Ruth Ann Burke of Huntly, Rena Mae Atkins of Gaithersburg, Md., Marie Woodard of Boston, Irene Fletcher and Elzora Nicholson, both of Washington, Margaret Settle of Flint Hill and Joan Kaye Foster of Chester Gap.

He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.

Active pallbearers will be grandsons.

Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters and relatives.

Family will receive friends at the Tumer-Robertshaw Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m.
