DARE Day

Success

To the Editor:

Extraordinary! Fantastic! Informative! Super! Fun! Incredible! Awesome!

Those are just some of the adjectives that were thrown around at Rappahannock County Elementary School on DARE-Field Day, held Friday, May 31.

We have had field day each year for some time, but this year the activities were greatly complemented by the addition of a host of exhibits brought to us by the Rappahannock County Sheriffs Department. The themes of the day revolved around safety and resistance to drugs and violence.

The valuable experience for RCES students was made possible through the efforts of Sheriff Gary Settle, Maj. Rick Mac Welch and Capt. Jeff Brown. Other members of the Sheriff’s Department were also on hand Friday to provide enthusiastic and able assistance.
