This June is on its way to being as wet as the June of 1995.
Last year June brought 15.4 inches of rain in Sperryville according to weather watcher Dennis Wingfield including the flood of June 26-27.
So far this month more than six inches have fallen including 3.24 on Sunday, and 1.27 inches on Tuesday before 7 p.m., Mr. Wingfield said. The past weekend was particularly wet with .74 inches Friday and .46 inches Saturday besides Sunday’s rain.
