Of all the sports at RCHS, the track program receives the least amount of financial support. • Having a track would help condition all athletes from the school. If the facilities were improved track would then be on an equal footing with baseball, softball and soccer. Having the track resurfaced would improve the school’s appearance as well. Instead of having an unpaved, unsightly, unmarked track, students and visitors would feel motivated to use new facilities.

To the Editor:
It seems another shady, gently curving road in Rappahannock is scheduled to be made straight and wide. The shade (read:trees) will be removed. Fast drivers will win yet another straight-away to break the speed limit upon.
The road I speak of is Route 630, off U.S. 522 in the Huntly/Flint Hill area. Called Hittles Mill Stream Road, as it is now, it discourages drivers seeking a shortcut from 522 to the Fodderstack. As it is now, it slows down the drivers who race from the
