Eighty Rappahannock County residents participated in the “Relay for Life” fund raiser event for the American Cancer Society held at Airlie in Warrenton on May 3l' and June 1.
Eleven teams from the county set their goal to raise $1,000 each, and they came very close to that goal, raising a total of $10,342.75. The Amissville Baptist Walketeers raised the most of all Rappahannock teams, closely followed by the Huntly Hoofers. Other teams were the Ruby Cannon Memorial, Rappahannock Community Walkers, Wakefield Andadores (andadore is Spanish for walker), Rappahannock Methodist Walkers, Gay St. Walkers A team, Gay St. Walkers B team, First Wood Sperrys, Trinity Episcopal Church, and the RCHS Bible Club.
