Benefit Auction Scheduled
A benefit auction for Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department and the Rappahannock County DARE Program will be held at 6 p.m. June 22 at Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department. Proceeds to benefit Sperryville V.F.D. Truck fund and DARE Program.

Whorton Reunion Planned
The Whorton reunion will be held at the Castleton fire hall on Sunday, June 16. Everyone is asked to bring a covered dish and a drink. Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. Family and friends of the late Oscar, Amon, Walter, Sam, Robert, Howard, Ash and Helen Whorton are invited.
Retired Teacher's To Meet
The Rappahannock Retired Teacher’s will have a luncheon meeting at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 13 at the Flint Hill Public House. This is an important business meeting.
Volleyball Camp Planned
There will be a summer volleyball camp this year at Rappahannock County High School. There will be two sessions of camp; one session for varsity level (June 24-26) and one session for junior varsity level (June 27-29). Both sessions will run from 1 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The price of the camp is $45, which includes a camp t-shirt. You may pick up a registration form in the office at RCHS. If you have any questions feel free to call 987-8575.
Spring Workshop Series Scheduled
The IRIS Centre for Shamanic Studies will present its Spring workshop series at the Centre, 325-B Middle Street in Washington.
Workshops will be held on June 1, June 14 and June 15. The fee for full-day workshops is $95; half-day workshops are $45. Friday evening slide-lectures are $5. Limited scholarship aid is available.
