Ressie Matthews

Ressie C. Matthews, 86, of Front Royal, died Monday, June 3 at ■ Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal.

Funeral services were held at the Tumer-Robertshaw Funeral Home on Saturday with the Pastor Decker Tapscott.

Interment was in the Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Matthews was bom May 2, 1910, in Woodville.

She was a retired presser operator with the former Myers Cleaners in Front Royal. She was a member of the Faith Christian Church and International Outreach Center in Warrenton and Mt. Bernon Baptist Church in Front Royal, Warren County Senior Citizens and Harrisburg, Pa. Senior Citizens.

Surviving are three sons, McKinley Matthews, John Thomas Matthews, Sr. and William H. Matthews, all of Front Royal, one daughter, Virginia Oliver of Harrisburg, Pa, 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and five greatgreat-grandchildren.

Active pallbearers were William Jackson, Elmer Fletcher, Robert Hill, Archie Ford, Roger Conway and James Chloe.

Honorary Pallbearers were Robert Johnson, David Clanagan and Robert Edwards.
