One of the projects approved following the June 1995 flood was only completed in March, he said. He added that the county is already in the process of identifying projects in Old Hollow and the Feola Mills and Nethers Mills areas for work following the latest flooding, and he said that work done in Harris Hollow kept flooding this time from being as bad as it might have been.
He noted that it is not possible under this program to go along a stream dredging out the entire thing. But is possible to get trees and gravel beds deposited by the storm cleaned* out. The county will have to get permission from each landowner for the work, he said.
Private individuals can also apply to do work on their own, he added, and handed people cards from the Army Corps of Engineers with the number to call. I
