too long a time to sit in one place; you forget material over the twoday break before the class meets again (this makes it hard to study); and one of the biggest ones is that a lot of the teachers here are having a difficult time adjusting their teaching methods to the new routine.
No matter what anyone says, it is really hard to sit in those uncomfortable chairs for long periods of time. Most of the school population including Juniors, Sophomores and Freshmen have the same complaints about our new system. The eighth graders are probably the ones having the easiest time adjusting because this is close to the curriculum they have followed in earlier years.
My opinion is that of many other upper classmen, this new way of learning is going to help us when we get into a college where we don't have someone to run to everytime we have trouble understanding a problem or we forget to do a homework assignment. This schedule is teaching us to stand on our two feet and finally grow up.
All in all the change of curriculum at RCHS has not changed the people that attend the school or the ones that work there. You can still count on your teachers to be there for you when you need that extra little bit of help. The best thing I can think of about being a student at the small country high school is that, no matter how things change, there will always be things that stay the same.
