J1* ^ater Monitoring Workshop with Jay Gilliam, vice president of the V«Bmia Chapter of the Izaak Walton League, has been rescheduled for Saturday, Oct. 5.

Originally scheduled for Sept. 7, the workshop was rescheduled because the Thornton River was flooding that day.

The workshop will begin at the Rappahannock Extension Office in Gay Street at 10 a.m. After a roundtable discussion there, participants will proceed to Mountainside Market in Sperryville for lunch. Participants may purchase lunch at the market or brown bag their own.

After lunch the hands-on part of the workshop will take place across from Mountainside at the Oldway Art Village on the Thornton River. The workshop will end at about 2 p.m.

The workshop is open to anyone interested in establishing a water monitoring station on a stream or river in the county. Mr. Gilliam is in charge of establishing a water monitoring network across the state. His highly
