and were only down by one point at the end of the first quarter 17-16. Stonewall increased its lead in the second quarter and had a 33-22 lead at the end of the half.
Acccording to Coach Conklin her girls were tiring. Her bench was only four deep. At the end of the third quarter Stonewall had a 55-30 lead.
"Sarah Gentry did a great job rebounding tonight," Coach Conklin said. She had 12 rebounds, but 10 of them were in the first half. Dawn Havstad had seven rebounds. Angie and Sonya added six each.
Sonya led the scoring with 23 points. Sarah added nine.
"They played really hard in the first half," she said. "I'm pleased they didn't get in as much foul trouble. Our goal was to play better than Thursday night, and we did that. We are suffering with so many turnovers."
