Fall Election The last day to register for the fall election is Monday, Oct. 7. Regular hours for the registrar’s office in the Commissioner of Revenue’s building on Gay Street are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4 • p.m. In addition the office will be open for , those wishing to register on Saturday, Oct. 5. Voter registration forms are also available at the country stores and the Social Services office in Washington. Disaster Assistance FEMA, the federal disaster assistance agency has allocated $17,677 for victims of flooding during Hurricane Fran in Rappahannock County. The money has been for emergency repairs of houses or rental assistance. As of Sept. 29, 34 people from the county had applied for assistance.
