Ryan Roach helped current local Republican Party chairman Walt Longyear draw names for door prizes, and Chris Mannion entertained the crowd with songs from his repertoire of political parody such as "They Say My Basement Is a Wetland," "One More Whitewater Lie," "Society's to Blame,” and "Judges' Hall of Shame."
The party * then conducted a fundraising auction of cakes, pies, apples, and John Marocchi's honey.
Mr. Longyear urged everyone to become involved as a volunteer in the fall campaign.
