NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT the Town Council of the Town of Washington .Virginia and the Planning Commission of the Town of Washington.Virginia will hold a joint Public Hearing on Wednesday, October 9, 1996 at 7:30 p.m. at the Town Hall on Gay and Calvert Streets, Washington.Virginia, for the purpose of considering the adoption of Amendments to the Zoning Ordinance to allow the Adaptive Use of Existing Structures by Special Use Permit within the Town of Washington.
These Amendments would allow existing structures to be used for purposes other than their original intended use, when said original use has become impractical due to the size, construction, or location of the structure. Under these Amendments, conditions specifically applicable to the proposed use may be attached by the Town Council to minimize conflicts with existing uses In the neighborhood.
The text of the proposed Amendments is available for inspection by the public in the Office of the County Administrator of Rappahannock County, and the Town Hall during normal business hours, All interested persons are invited to attend.
