Meal Planning — Plan ahead for quick evening meals when family activities leave you scrambling to cook. Prepare soups and casseroles in double batches and freeze, or serve sandwiches with simple side dishes such as fruit, pretzels, and carrot sticks.
Fit Kids — Encourage fitness through active play, exercise, or organized sports. Set limits for time spent at the computer and in front of the television. Find activities the family can participate in together.
Restoration — Skimping on sleep can really take its toll on the health and achievement of busy kids. While individual needs vary, it's not unreasonable for kids to require 10 or more hours of sleep each night.
And parents, we know, could always, use a few extra winks.
