Mrs. Settle asked if it was proper to have a commercial profit-making activity in an agricultural zone. "It's my understanding the board supports commercial uses in the general commercial overlay area."

Chairman Mike Massie noted that there are many profit making activities allowed in agricultural zones with a special use permit or special exception. They do not require commercial zoning, he said and added activities that require commercial zoning are the ones the planners want to see in the general commercial zone.

"Where is this going to end?" Mrs. Settle asked. "She keeps wanting to expand."

Mr. Massie said the planners wanted to restrict all uses connected with the school from using the narrow right-of-way.

Ms. Babcock, who had stepped down from her seat at the table as a member of the Planning Commission while the application was being considered, said, "I hear the opposition. I do have a private life, and I have a right-of-way which I bought from Mrs. Jones." She said all the uses connected with the school had used the driveway off Route 624. "I am not willing to give up a right-of-way soid to me with the farm, but I will do anything I can not to upset the Jenkins family."
