Ms. Scott said the next major project for the band is raising money to purchase some new instruments. She said her one tuba player is all state quality but playing on an tuba that was purchased second hand when it was already 30 years old. Besides a new tuba, Ms. Scott hopes to buy three French horns and a baritone saxophone.
