An Amissville man was arrested last week and charged with having an illegal dump on his property.
Three warrants were obtained for 29-year-old Arthur H. Kitchen — for depositing trash in Rappahannock County which originated outside the county; for depositing trash in other than an approved receptacle or location; and for depositing solid waste in an open dump and/or own, operate or allow to be operated on his property an open dump. He was arrested and released on bond, with one condition of bond being that he not bring any more trash into Rappahannock County.
The first warrant further stated that Mr. Kitchen "has continued to maintain the open dump even after repeated warnings as to the illegal nature of these activities."
