Marie Antoinette Davis-Roman was the first bom child of David and Marie Davis on June 15, 1966, in Washington, D.C. She is the mother of a three year old son, Khalil. She has sang since her early school years at Rudolph Elementary where she was told that she had a "God-given natural talent.”
She sang on church choirs beginning with the Junior Choir, to the Gospel Chorus in college, moving up to the Adult Choir at First Baptist Church in Washington, Virginia.
In 1977, Marie’s family moved to Washington where she began participating in 4-H Share-the-Fun vocal competitions. She competed, won and represented her county and District numerous times. In 1982, she represented her Region in the Share-theFun State Competition and won the title.
Marie sang alto and soprano in her high school choir and had parts in many musicals. She also sang in various fashion shows, weddings, talent shows and competitions, basketball games and graduations through her high school years in Rappahannock County.
She went to college at James Madison University where she studied voice under Dr. In Dal Choi. She sang in the Womens Concert Choir, University Chorus, Gospel Chorus,
