Slide Show, Talk Planned

The slide show and talk by John Trott, Associations: Wild Flowers and Birds, scheduled for 7:30 p.m., Feb. 14, at the Marshall Community Center, was canceled due to the weather. This program has been rescheduled for Friday, Feb. 21 at the same time, Marshall Community Center. Admission is free.

Advisory Council To Meet

The Special Education Advisory Council of Rappahannock County Schools will meet on Thursday, Feb. 20 at the Elementary School at 3:30 p.m. Guest speaker will be nurse practitioner, Patricia Putnam. Subject of the meeting will be a discussion of attention problems, hyperactivity and Ritalin. Shooting Match To Begin

The Castleton Community Volunteer Fire Company will begin their annual shooting matches at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 1. Rules are 12 gauge shotguns only, no sleeves or scopes. For more information call 9374110.

Drum Workshop Set

Darrell Rose will be leading a drum workshop Saturday, Feb. 22 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Community Center in Washington.

The workshop includes an introduction to drumming techniques, hand positions, how to achieve various sounds from drum and how to play basic rhythms. Mr. Rose is an active teacher and performer in Charlottesville and the East Coast. Pre-registratiop is required. Ages 16 and up. Cost is $20. To register call 987-8670.
