The report on the Washington Water Works for January showed that the amount of gallons lost for the month was a drastic change from the December report.

In January, 202,240 gallons were lost (the difference between billable gallons of water and gallons billed); that figure for December was 328,490. With 890,000 gallons pumped in January and 1,118,200 gallons pumped in December, that is a huge difference for one month. Town Attorney Frank Reynolds said, "Maybe people were taking joint showers.”
