Boosters Selling Fruit
The Rappahannock Band Boosters are selling valenica oranges and red grapefruit. Orders must be placed by Monday, Feb. 24. Delivery is the first week of March. Contact any band or chorus student or Sally Havstad at 987-9342.
Guitarist at The Theatre
The Theatre at Washington, presents David .Richter, guitarist, at 3 p.m. on Sunday March 2. Tickets are $13.50 with reservation, $15 at the door, children’s tickets half price. For his concert here in Washington, David Richter will play music from Spain, and works of Johann Sebastian Bach and Michael Praetorius. For more information call 675-1253.
Adult Education Classes Set
Free night adult education classes are again available in Rappahannock County. Classes meet in the basement of the Rappahannock County Public Library from 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday. New students are asked to come for the first time on Wednesday, when the staff is larger. Instruction in math, language, and GED preparation is given. Spring Soccer Registration
Save money, register now for spring soccer. Rappahannock Soccer League (RSL) encourages on-time registration by charging a $25 fee per child for all completed forms received before March 1 and a $35 fee for all late forms received March 1-14.
All RCES students have received Spring 97 registration forms. More forms are available at the RCES office and at Cabin Fever Bookstore in Sperry ville. Registration is open to all children born on and between Aug. 1, 1992 and July 31, 1983. Registration questions can be answered by' Lorinda Bosch at 636-3580.
Beekeepers To Meet
The Northern Piedmont Beekeepers Association will hold its February meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20 at the Culpeper Cooperative Extension Service building, at the comer of South West Street and Davis Street. The program will be: Late winter and very early spring management. All are welcome: prospective beekeepers, new beekeepers and experienced beekeepers. Volunteer Tax Help
Free tax assistance is available to people on low and middle incomes to complete federal and state income tax forms. Trained volunteers will be at the Rappahannock County Library on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to noon. Bring your 1996 tax package, all W2 and 1099 forms and last years return. Program sponsored by IRS, AARP and Va. Cooperative Extension.
Registration Underway
