Council member Reinhardt Lynch said that he had wanted to borrow the tapes of the December meeting to see how he had voted on one matter, but that the main tape from the meeting was missing. He asked, "If we are going to record these meetings and they end up missing, then what is the point?"
The council discussed the matter and decided to keep the tapes locked up and keep the tapes for at least three months before taping over them.
