"Having to cut through steel and wood was a job in itself,” Peter said. "We also had to move the furniture and it'll probably be six months before inventory will be back up for the showroom."
"The move was hectic," agreed Elaine. "I don’t put out my Christmas inventory until after Thanksgiving and this year, with the construction going on, it was a challenge."
There are still finishing touches to be added to comers, walls, putting in some more counter space and painting, but for the most part the major work is done. Setting up the showrooms and moving Peter's office to one of the small downstairs rooms is also on the agenda. They also plan to create room type vignettes in the smaller rooms downstairs to showcase certain furniture groups and everything anyone could ever want to display along with it.
