Farm Service Agency, County Committee Election Ballots were recently mailed to producers in Rappahannock County. All eligible voters are encouraged to vote.

All completed ballots are to be returned by Dec 1. The candidates seeking election to, represent Rappahannock County on the FSA County Committee are:

Louis P. Moore Jr. — Orchardist as well as a livestock and grain producer from Flint Hill.

Dale Welch — Livestock and grain producer from Flint f Hill.

Margaret M. Pearcy — Livestock producer from1 Castleton.

Thomas R. Taylor _ Livestock producer from Sperryville. ;

Vote for not more than one of the nominees. The candidate • that receives the most votes' will be elected to a 3-year-term beginning Jan. 1, 1998.

The county committee is an important link between* national USDA programs ans the needs of local farmers. As: part of the committee, members will make important decisions on local programs such as commodity price support loans, conservation activities and eligibility for farm loans. V

The committee is also USDA’s eyes and ears in the community and local farmer’s choice in USDA. , '
