Marocchi rep
to meeting
John Marocchi, resolutions chairman of the Rappahannock County Farm Bureau, represented members at the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation’s Annual Resolutions Meeting Nov. 5-6 in Lynchburg.
Chris Parrish, Rappahannock County Farm Bureau president, called the meeting one of Farm Bureau’s most important yearly functions.
The statewide meeting included discussion of land use taxation, non-point source pollution regulations, commodity issues and how to gain and/or maintain more funding for major agricultural programs. Policies developed during the meeting will be considered for official VFBF policy during the organization’s annual convention Dec. 1-4 in Richmond. Many of the resolutions approved will be lobbied for during the 1998 Virginia General Assembly.
