Its “Christmas in Music” will be performed at the Warrenton United Methodist Church at 8 p.m. Dec. 11-13 and at 2 p.m. Dec. 13. The fast-selling tickets went on sale • Nov. 24 at Southern Financial Bank and New Leaf Bookstore.
• "Scrooge, The Stingiest Man in Town” is a musical that Fauquier Community Theatre hopes to make an annual Christmas event. It premieres this year at The Theatre on Harrison Road, Vint Hill Farms Station at 8 p.m. Nov. 29 and Dec. 5, 6, 12 and 13. Matinees at 2 p.m. are on Nov. 30, Dec. 7 and 14. Adult tickets are $12 and its $10 seniors and students.
• Rent “White Christmas” at your favorite video store and eat takeout food — don’t forget the ice cream!
• Anything at one of the many Dollar Stores in town. They are great for stocking staffers.
• A walk down Main Street in Warrenton on one of the Friday nights before Christmas. Stores stay open late, activities abound, and the lights and other decorations are beautiful. While you stroll and drink in the holiday spirit, you might find a few other bargains.
• Christmas trees, sold by local charities and fire departments. A double value — you’ll have a gorgeous, fresh tree to brighten your home and will be contributing to a worthy cause.
