overnight.

Next day: Divide dough in half (keeping second half in refrigerator until ready to use).

On floured board, roll out half of dough to a 9x 14-inch rectangle. Spread with filling. Starting with longer side, roll up and pinch edges and ends to seal.

For almond crescent: shape into half-moon or large crescent shape: Place on greased cookie sheet.

For Swedish Tea Ring: Shape filled dough into a circle and pinch the two edges together. Place on greased pizza pan. (The round shape ensures the tea ring will be round!) With a scissors, make cuts about one-inch apart from outside of ring to 3/4ths way inside. Carefully turn each slice partially on cut side (filling/facing/nearly up).

Cover breads with clean tea towels. Let rise until almost doubled, about 30 to 40 minutes.

Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown. Transfer to wire racks. Cool.

Combine glaze ingredients. Drizzle over breads. Decorate almond crescent with chopped or ground almonds. Decorate tea ring with red (and/or green) candied cherries. Makes two breads.
