The center (when complete) would include three dormitory buildings, a kitchen and dining hall, a renovated bam fellowship hall, an amphitheater, meditation pavilions, a library, six cottages, sports and recreation facilities — a swimming pool, volleyball courts, tennis courts, basketball courts and athletic field — an open farm meadow area, a holy land garden and high meadow.
Many members of the church spoke about the plans for the facility and assured the commissioners and audience that they would be “good neighbors” and that they valued the natural beauty of the land and the quiet here. They said the beauty of the county was the primary reason they wanted to locate their facility here and that they would not do anything to mar it.
They provided an extremely detailed layout of the facility in full color which showed how the site would be integrated into its surroundings.
