deputies responded to a complaint from residents in Sperryville that someone was firing a weapon in their backyard.

Around 10 p.m. on April 10, the Sheriff’s Office received a complaint that a man had approached numerous residences along Seven Ponds Road earlier in the day asking people for $20.

Around 6 p.m. that same evening, someone stole some money from a resident’s car along the same road. 22 yearold Dane Rhienhart, who lives in the area, was arrested and charged with petty larceny. Sheriff Larry Sherertz believes that Rhienhart may be responsible for both incidents.
