Mary Beth Williams Memorial Fund as of this date. He further notes the fund is continuing in its efforts to raise money. Contributing to this fund, notes Updike, gives residents of this area an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the youth of Rappahannock County.
The Mary Beth Williams Memorial Fund provided two scholarships of $1,000 each ^ to Rappahannock County college students last year.
The requirements for these scholarships are as follows:
• Applicant must be a resident of Rappahannock County.
• Applicant must be a senior that has been accepted in a two or four year college or a student that is presently enrolled in a two or four year college.
• Applicants majoring in Agriculture and/or an active participant in the Rappahannock 4-H Program will be given priority consideration.
• The scholarship will be awarded only one time to an eligible applicant.
The committee is in the process of accepting applications.
