Foster featured
in February’s
Virginia Wildlife
Rappahannock County native Sammy Foster was featured in the February issue of Virginia Wildlife. The two page layout talks about hunting, which Foster has been doing for many years. Dove hunting in the fall and winter remains a tradition in the county.
Foster told the magazine that hunting used to be a way of life, rather than for sport. Now a resident of Madison County, he was born and raised north of Flint Hill, in a house built in 1812.
The February issue is completely devoted to Virginia’s “Hunt Country”: Rappahannock, Fauquier, Culpeper, Madison, Orange, and Greene Counties. Other Rappahannock County sites featured in this issue are the Inn at Little Washington, the Courthouse, and a scene from Pleasant Valley Farm.
