She was an accomplished book binder, having studied under the noted Marion U M Lane of the Washington National Cathedral. She was also involved in the work of the Rappahannock County Garden Club, serving a term as President.
Mrs. Sharp is survived by her husband, Captain George H. Sharp, US Navy Retired; three sons, Edward J. Sharp, Alexander Sharp and William L. Sharp; a daughter, Mary P. Sharp; four grandchildren, Lauren M. Sharp, Rachel M. Sharp, Alexander Sharp and William Lightle Sharp Jr. and a sister, Mrs. Raymond T. Holden of Washington, D.C.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers a memorial donation be made to the Child Care and Learning Center.
