goal for Rappahannock is $1,500. The public is invited to attend a craft show and luncheon April 26 at CabInn, Sperryville. Many Rappahannock women will be displaying their work in Decoupage, Resin casting, ceramics, Tble stenciling and “country tin” painting, as well as other crafts. These objects have all been done since the group held its last show at the Library in 1967.

A ground breaking ceremony for a new fire house at Washington, Va. was held Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Virginia Miller, Mayor of the Tbwn of Washington turned the first shovel of dirt. The windy, disagreeable day did not prevent a good turnout of local residents who also had a look at the proposed house plans. J. Newbill Miller, Chairman of the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors since 1963, resigned from the Board last Friday.
