Also presented to the board was a petition by Wendy Weinberg, acting on behalf of Real Estate III. The agency wishes to place a hanging sign on the corner of the building they occupy, over the sidewalk. The sign would replace an existing sign.

Real Estate III occupies the same building as the theatre at Washington* Virginia. According to a change in ordinance less than two years ago, the maximum signage for all town buildings is 25 feet. The old ordinance set the limit at 12 feet.

In addition, the bottom of the sign has to be at least 78 inches from the sidewalk. Their sign meets both requirements. This request was also approved by a unanimous vote.

The board’s next scheduled meeting is May 13.
